Spiraling and Radiating Light
A pair of stately sculptures made of four inch diameter powder-coated aluminum piping arrayed in lively and eye-catching forms that seem that float (just 12 inches) from the side of a building façade with aluminum spacer supports. Like the spokes of a car wheel, each individual sculptural element is identical and is multiplied and rotated to create a unique form. Each pipe element ends in a reclaimed, oval-shaped ‘cobra head’ streetlight fixture, and measures 28' high x 20' wide x 3' deep and 32' high x 32' wide and 4.5' deep.
